Family Threats

A 31-year-old man from Morpeth has been arrested and charged with uttering threats following a family dispute.

Chatham-Kent police alleged the accused from Morpeth threatened to kill a family member on Monday when he returned home from the hospital after being arrested earlier under the Mental Health Act.

Road Rage

Impaired driving charges have been laid against a 53-year-old man from Chatham-Kent following an alleged road rage incident in Kent Bridge.

Chatham-Kent police said officers responded to a report of a road rage incident on Mull Road in Kent Bridge on Monday night and stopped the vehicle.

According to police, officers formed grounds to believe the driver was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol and arrested him.

After further breath tests at police headquarters, he was charged with operation of a vehicle while impaired and having a blood alcohol concentration over 80mg.

A $5.4 million contract was awarded for the renovation and expansion of the Bright's Grove Library, and city funds will be released to Sarnia BACE towards a multi-use sport and community centre on Michigan Avenue.
