Chatham man charged after police recover $10K in stolen goods

Chatham-Kent police have arrested and charged a Chatham man following a break and enter at a downtown Chatham business.

Police said officers recovered approximately $10,000 in stolen property as well, thanks to their swift action and investigative efforts.

Police noted they received a report of a break and enter at a business in downtown Chatham on Tuesday morning.

Police say an unknown man entered the building and removed several laptops and their accessories at approximately 1 a.m.

Police identified a suspect through surveillance video.

The accused was charged with break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime.
