Habitat for Humanity Chatham-Kent is getting a helping hand from RONA.
RONA said its stores in Chatham and Wallaceburg will raise money until October 12 to provide aid to the agency through the 4th annual Home Sweet Home campaign launched on Monday.
"Funds raised will be used to support organizations that provide aid to victims of domestic violence, low-income families, and individuals with special needs or mental health issues," said RONA.
RONA said this year's goal is to raise $500,000 in total for 150 organizations across Canada that help vulnerable people.
“Home Sweet Home is much more than a fundraising campaign. It’s an opportunity for our teams, all across Canada, to come together in support of causes of their own choosing that directly impact their community. This makes every donation especially meaningful, contributing to making a real impact at a local level, where it really matters,” said Catherine Laporte, President of the RONA Foundation Board of Directors and Chief Digital and Marketing Officer at RONA.
RONA noted the Home Sweet Home campaign has donated close to $2 million to hundreds of non-profit organizations across Canada since it was created in 2023.
