Three Chatham-Kent (CK) police officers were recently recognized for their work recovering stolen items worth thousands of dollars.
Back in July, a business on King Street in Chatham reported to police that it had been broken into, with around $10,000 worth of property stolen.
Constable Trent Fox used video footage from the business and the downtown CCTV camera system to help find evidence to identify a potential suspect.
He and Constables Cole Brigley and Garrett Sanchez then conducted several patrols of the area, which resulted in the arrest of a 30-year-old man.
According to police, most of the stolen items were recovered during the arrest, with the rest being found later on during the investigation.
Fox, Brigley, and Sanchez were each given a Deputy Chief Letter of Recognition at last week's CK Police Board meeting.
Brigley also received a commendation at the meeting for a separate incident where he helped save an unconscious baby.
