Leamington Wins In OT

The Leamington Flyers edged past the St. Thomas Stars 4-3 in overtime.

After a scoreless first period, the Flyers struck first thanks to Mitchell Amante. But St. Thomas scored three straight to even it up.

Amante's second goal of the night sent the game to the extra frame where teammate Tyler Duarte scored the game winner.

The first place Flyers have an 11-point lead over Sarnia in the GOJHL Western Conference standings. Leamington is off until Sunday when they host the Legionnaires.
