Jr. C Playoffs Begin

The Great Lakes Junior C playoffs open tonight with all four series kicking off.

The 7th seeded Wheatley Sharks are in Amherstburg to take on the 2nd seeded Admirals.

"We've matched up relatively well against this team over the course of the season," says Sharks Head Coach Ken Galerno. "They've edged us 3-2 over the five games we've played, but it would be silly if we didn't look at where they are in the standings and how come they're there. They're a pretty deep team, they've got goaltending and some really strong offensive players."

Also in action tonight, the top ranked Essex 73's host the Mooretown Flags, the 6th seeded Dresden Kings are in Lakeshore to take on the 3rd seeded Canadiens, and the 4th seeded Blenheim Blades host the Alvinston Flyers.
