Amherstburg Looking For Series Sweep

The Amherstburg Admirals look to close out their opening round Junior C playoff series tonight.

Amherstburg leads the Wheatley Sharks 3-0, and Admirals head coach Paul Bortignon says they need to neutralize the Sharks' speed.

"Keeping them off the power play, which is an exceptional power play with Brian Johnson and Mike Reed on the back end, plus the Ciacelli brothers up front," says Bortignon. "They do a good job moving the puck and getting it to the net. If we can stay out of the box tonight and play a five-on-five brand of hockey, we should be alright."

A couple of key players on both teams are suspended for tonight's game because of a melee at the end on Sunday's triple-overtime win.

The puck drops at 8pm in Wheatley.
