OFSAA A Basketball Tournament

The championship single A secondary school basketball tournament tips off in Chatham today.

Tournament convenor Mike Schinkelshoek is coach of the host ESPC team and says 16 teams are taking part.

Everybody plays once today, the banquet is this evening in Pain Court, and they they play two games tomorrow," he says. "From there we've got semi-finals and finals on Wednesday."

Schinkelshoek says about 240 students are taking part including 200 who have traveled from all over Ontario to take part.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
