73's Look To Eliminate Centennials

The Essex 73's are looking to punch their ticket to the Schmalz Cup final tonight.

Essex hosts the Ayr Centennials up 3-1 in the semi-final series. 73's head coach Gil Langlois says the message to his team is a simple one. "After playing last night we got in late, the message is we do not want to go back to Ayr on Thursday night," says Langlois. "So that's the message, let's put this to bed."

Langlois adds that his team will have to play a disciplined game and play well on special teams to give themselves a good chance to win. Essex may also be shorthanded with a number of players battling the flu that will likely be game time decisions.

Puck drop is set for 7:30pm at Essex Arena where the 73's have yet to clinch a series. Essex has outscored Ayr 18-13 in the four games.
