McNear Back To Coach Blades

A familiar face will be back behind the bench next season with the Blenheim Blades.

Bob McNear, who has coached the Blades since 2009, handed in his resignation after the team was eliminated from the Jr. C playoffs this season.

But McNear started having second thoughts and contacted Blenheim's General Manager Wayne Cowell about coming back.

Ken Shine and Taylor Phillips will join the organization as assistant coaches. Former assistants Kent Burk and Bob Price left to take coaching positions with the Chatham Cyclones.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
