Vipers Kick Off Sutherland Cup

The Vipers open their Sutherland Cup series in Elmira tonight.

Head Coach Bill Bowler says the last month has been pretty hectic for his players, culminating with the loss to Leamington last weekend. But after a few days of rest, they're ready to go. "I'm very confident and comfortable with the way we've played to date, and if we continue to put that effort that we have been, there will be no regrets. That's for sure," explains Bowler.

LaSalle's one and only time playing in the Sutherland Cup tournament was back in 2010, when the team won the whole thing. Elmira took the championship the following season.

Puck drop is set for 7:30pm tonight.

The Vipers return home for Game 2 this Friday.
