No Home Advantage For Essex

The Essex 73's Schmalz Cup Final schedule is out.

A coin toss, which was won by Port Hope, determined home ice advantage in the seven game series.

This is the 73's third straight appearance in the Ontario Hockey Association's junior 'C' championship, and the seventh in the last ten seasons. In that time Essex has won just twice, with the last victory back in 2009.

The series kicks off this Saturday. The first game in Essex is set for the following Saturday night.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
