Spits Sign Fourth Round Pick

Expect to see 16-year-old Cole Carter with the Windsor Spitfires when camp starts this summer.

The Spits drafted him in the fourth round of this year's Priority Selection.

Carter, who stands at 5' 10'' and 150 lbs., put up 63 points (27 goals) in 36 games for Stittsville of the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League last season.

Spitfires General Manager Warren Rychel says, "Cole had an exceptional year playing against older guys. That put him in the draft picture. He's versatile, can play both right wing and right centre, and he can finish."

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
