Racing was first rained out Saturday night, and meant to be rescheduled for Sunday.
However, because of persistent rain, the South Buxton Raceway will be closed for the remainder of the weekend.
SPS Board Chair Kelly Ash said the decision followed discussions with Acting Chief Mike Federico and aligns with practices at other police services.
The annual Canada Day parade will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, from Wildwood Park to Kenwick Park.
The $7.6 million project, which also involved water and sewer infrastructure improvements, began in 2024.
