Spitfires Coach Backing Generals

Windsor Spitfires Head Coach Bob Boughner will be cheering on his good friend, Windsor-native and former assistant coach DJ Smith during tonight's Memorial Cup final.

Smith is the head coach of the Oshawa Generals, and Boughner says he's been in contact with him almost every day for the last few weeks.

Win or lose, the Spits bench boss says Smith has a lot to be proud of. "I feel a good coach is someone who can get the best out of his players, and you can tell that he's getting every last ounce out of these guys."

Oshawa takes on Kelowna at 7 Sunday, for the right to be crowned the top team in the CHL.
