Cougars Fall To North Halton

The Chatham-Kent Cougars narrowly fell to the North Halton Crimson Tide 8-7 at the Chatham-Kent Community Athletic Complex.

North Halton scored the first time they touched the ball on a 65-yard punt return for a touchdown.

The Cougars responded with a 1-yard touchdown run from Tanner Shuian for a 7-7 tie at the half.

The Crimson Tide scored a single point on a missed field goal that went through the back of the end zone in the 4th Quarter for the decisive point.

The game was also a battle of the elements, with Mother Nature producing strong wind gusts and a consistent downpour for the entire matchup.

The Cougars now fall to 0-6 while North Halton improves to 2-3.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
