Tecumseh Golfer Wins In Playoff

Bryce Hughes won in a playoff on his home course to get the win on the latest Jamieson Jr. Golf Tour stop.

Hughes, who plays at Beach Grove Golf and Country Club in Tecumseh, beat Liam Fisk and Thomas DeMarco in a playoff yesterday to win the Jr. Boys Division.

DeMarco now leads the Jr. Boys standings with just one stop left on the tour.

In the Jr. Girls Division, Windsor's Jasmine Ly won for the fifth time this season. That puts here 2.5 points ahead of Chatham's Brooke MacKinnon in the standings.

Jordan Hutchings won the Collegiate Men's Division, while Bryce Evon clinched the season title.

Emily Stadder won the Collegiate Women's Division, but Sara Holland leads by a half point in the overall standings.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
