Lions Beat Bills In Preseason Finale

The Detroit Lions closed out the preseason with a 17-10 win over the Buffalo Bills.

Lions defensive end and former CFLer Phillip Hunt hopes he's done enough to make the team. "I just played my heart out for my teammates and for my family and I just thank God for the opportunity and I hope I can do more for this organization," says Hunt.

While second year wide receiver TJ Jones, who missed his entire rookie season because of injury, improved his chances of making the roster with a 64-yard touchdown catch and run. "We got down to one point with three receivers so we kind of all had to help each other out and play every position," says Jones.

The Lions held 20 of their 22 projected starters out of last night's lineup, and finished the preseason 3-1.

All NFL teams have until 4pm Saturday to set their 53-man roster.
