Lions Make Final Cuts

The Detroit Lions have cut their roster down to the mandatory 53 players by yesterday's 4pm deadline.

The most notable moves, Detroit will go with just two QBs with the release of Kellen Moore.

Receiver and return man Jeremy Ross lost his spot on the roster to TJ Jones, the second year player and sixth round pick who missed his rookie season due to injury. Lance Moore and Corey Fuller round out the receiver group behind Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate.

Tight end Joseph Fauria was released while undrafted free-agent running back Zack Zenner made the squad after a strong preseason.

Along the defensive line former CFLer Philip Hunt did enough to impress while Larry Webster didn't make the cut.

Some of the players that didn't make the team will be eligible to make the practice squad.
