Maroons Fall To Legionnaires In OT

The Sarnia Legionnaires downed the Maroons 6-5 in overtime in Chatham's final preseason game.

On Wednesday, the Maroons took a 2-0 lead in the first period and were ahead 4-3 at the end of the second. However, the Legionnaires were able to come back in the third frame to tie the game 5-5 and force OT. Sarnia earned the win with a final goal just under two minutes into extra time.

The Maroons open the regular season Saturday afternoon against Niagara Falls at the Western Fairgrounds at 4:30pm as a part of the GOJHL showcase. You can hear a live broadcast of that game on Country 92.9 FM/630 AM CFCO or stream it online here.
