Kings Ready For Home Opener

The Dresden Kings open the Great Lakes Jr. C hockey season tonight when they host Alvinston.

"We feel that we've made improvements that we had to from last year," says Kings head coach Rob Vanderydt. "Everything's pretty positive right now, and now everybody's been working hard in training camp, and the real season begins."

"We've got six quality defenceman, two good goalies, and all our forwards can play powerplay and penalty kill," says Vanderydt. "So we're hoping that our depth is going to be one of our strengths."

Puck drop is set for 7:30pm in Dresden.
