Lions Visit Chargers To Open Season

The Lions open their regular season schedule on the road today when they visit the San Diego Chargers.

Rookie running back Ameer Abdullah says he's more excited to play his first NFL regular season game than he was playing college ball.

"College kind of got a little monotonous at times," says Abdullah. "You go through it but now this is fresh, this is new to me, you can see the attitudes of people really focus this week, so I'm really excited, I'm juiced up."

The Lions will likely be without star linebacker DeAndre Levy who's missed over two-weeks of practice with a hip injury.

Kick off is set for 4:05pm.
