Blades Open With OT Tie

The Blenheim Blades opened the Great Lakes Jr. C hockey season with a tie.

The Blades and Amherstburg Admirals tied 2-2 following a scoreless OT period.

Drew Marlatt and Nick Delyzer gave Blenheim a 2-0 lead at the end of the second period.

But Ryan Hozel and Dean Patterson scored in the third for the Admirals to send it to the extra frame.

Blenheim is off until Friday when they head to Lakeshore. Amherstburg is also off until Friday when they take on Dresden.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
