Kings Edge Lakers

The Lakers fell 4-3 to the Dresden Jr. Kings duiring Wallaceburg's home opener on Wednesday.

At the end of the first period, the Kings trailed the Lakers 3-2, but were able to score twice in the second to take the lead.  Neither team scored in the third, giving Dresden the win.

Will Tetzlaff led the Kings with two goals, while Dillon Liberty,  Will Tetzlaff and Derrick VanEvery each scored one.

Justin Melo, Jacob Theoret and Cory Lucier all scored once for Wallaceburg.

The Kings face off against the Amherstburg Admirals on Friday at 7:30pm and the Lakers return to the ice on Monday to take on the Wheatley Sharks at 7:30pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
