Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – October 16, 2015

In Great Lakes Junior C hockey action on Friday, the Lakeshore Canadiens crushed the Wallaceburg Lakers 12-0.  Jack Bartlett led Lakeshore with four goals.

Dresden Jr. Kings doubled Integrity Amherstburg Admirals 4-2.  John Montgomery, Dillon Liberty, Derek Daly and Isaac McLean each scored one for Dresden.  Ryan Holzel and Caleb Paquette both scored a goal for Amherstburg.

And the Wheatly Sharks tied the Alvinston Flyers e-2 after no scoring in overtime. Eric Prudence and Nick Tavolieri-Essex scored a goal each for the Sharks.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
