Jr. Hockey Games Tonight

The first place Essex 73's host the Blenheim Blades tonight in Great Lakes Jr. C hockey action.

"They always play us tough, it's usually a close game," says 73's head coach Gil Langlois. "They're a fierce competitor as far as the team goes, they've got a lot of returning vets on that team. It's going to be a very tough game tonight for us, and hopefully we make it as tough on Blenheim."

Puck drop is set for 7pm in Essex.

In the GOJHL, the LaSalle Vipers are on the road to take on Lambton Shores. The Vipers are coming off an overtime tie against Strathroy.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
