Jr. Hockey Wrap Up - November 3, 2015

In Great Ontario Junior B Hockey League action, the LaSalle Vipers lost 5-4 to the Lambton Shores Predators.

The Vipers allowed three goals in the third period after entering the frame up 3-2.

Connor Merritt had two of those third period goals for the Predators, including the game winner, while Brenden Trottier and Colin Burns each had three point nights.

Manny Silverio and Liam MacDougall each had two point nights for the Vipers while Eli Billing made 47 saves in the loss.

In Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League play, the Essex 73's topped the Blenheim Blades 5-1.

The 73's opened the scoring on a shorthanded goal by William Stadder on route to a 3-0 lead after the first period. Phil Janikowski scored twice on the powerplay to help lead the 73's to the win.

Justin Delgado assisted on Kier Cumming's goal in the second period to respond for the Blades. Matt Clark couldn't grab another goal for the Blades with a penalty shot in the third period.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
