IceDogs Edge Spits

The Windsor Spitfires fell 5-4 in a close game against the Niagara IceDogs on Thursday.

The Spitfires started off strong with a 2-0 lead in the first frame, but the IceDogs were able to tie things up at 2-2 before the end of the period.  A goal in the second put Niagara in the lead, which they extended to 5-2 half way through the third. Windsor attempted a comeback, scoring two more goals in the final period, but weren't able to tie the game.

Bradley Latour, Cristiano DiGiacinto, Cole Carter and Aaron Luchuk each scored once for Windsor.

The Spitfires take on the Erie Otters on Saturday at 7pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
