Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – November 6, 2015

The Essex 73's doubled the Dresden Jr. Kings 8-4 in Great Lakes Junior C hockey on Friday.

The 73's also out scored the Kings 47-28.

Eric Shaw led Essex with two goals, while Matthew Hebert, Michael Vieira, Matthew Rosati, Brett Vorshuk, Tyler Boughner, and Phil Janikowski each scored one.

Brayden Pegg, Kevin Ritzer, Kevin Ritzer and Derek Daly all scored one goal for Dresden.

Also in Junior C hockey action, the Wallaceburg Lakers beat the Alvinston Flyers 7-2.

Despite the loss, Alvinston out shot Wallaceburg 43-30.

Justin Lindsay was lead scorer for the Lakers with two goals. Alex Ritchie, Justin Browning, Brendan Ritchie, Jackson Gray and George Wood all scored one.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
