High School Sports Recap - Saturday, November 7, 2015

The Wallaceburg Tartans were unable to capture another football title this year.

They lost to the St. Clair Colts 38-28 in the eight-man football final Saturday.

Meanwhile some good finishes for local runners during this year's OFSAA Cross Country Meet.

Chatham-Kent Secondary School's Delainey Johnson finished fourth in the Jr. Girls race, with a time of 16:25.06.

Fellow Golden Hawk Josh Kellier also placed well in the Senior Boys final, timing out at 24:29.27 to finish 28th. ESPC's Aidan Lachine, the only non CKSS runner, finished 60th in the Midget Boys run with a final time of 19:31.39.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
