Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – November 15, 2015

The Blenheim Blades doubled the Wheatley Sharks 8-4 in Great Lakes Junior C hockey on Sunday.

Hunter Burk and Drew Marlatt led the Blades with two goals each.  Andreas Gossmann, Nick Tavolieri-Essex, Lucas Raffoul and Justin Pinsonneault all scored once for the Sharks.

In Greater Metro Junior A Hockey, the Kingsville Kings decimated the Norfolk Vikings 18-2.

Ludwig Niederbach scored a hat-trick for the Kings, while Devin Darrah, Ivan Hodulov, Dan Leach,  Blake Naida and Ryan Gruszka all scored two each.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
