Blades And Vipers In Similar Situations

In Jr. C hockey action, Blenheim's looking for its third straight win as it travels to Wallaceburg.

Sitting just four points out of second place in the GLJCHL, the Blades hope to take advantage of a Lakers team that's only won three games all season.

But Blenheim GM Wayne Cowell isn't taking his opponent lightly.

"The size of the rink (in Wallaceburg) makes most teams equal, and they're a very aggressive team," he says. "Mark Swayze's a very good coach and he has them playing hard all the time, so it's not an easy win."

Puck drop is set for 7:30pm.

In Jr. B, the LaSalle Vipers are in much the same position as the Jr. C Blades -- sitting two points out of second place in the GOJHL's Western Conference, and taking on a St. Marys squad that's only won four games this season.

The Vipers have won their last two games as well.

That contest gets underway at 7pm tonight.
