Wallaceburg Tartans Fourth In Province

The Wallaceburg Tartans senior girls basketball team lost a pair of games in OFSAA action Saturday, bringing an end to their season.

After victories through the first three rounds of the OFSAA AA basketball championships in Kingsville, Wallaceburg hit a snag against the eventual gold medal winners, Kings Christian Collegiate by a score of 62-38.

Then, in the bronze medal game later Saturday, they fell to Stephen Leacock Collegiate Institute 49-33.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
