Measuring Stick Game For Canadiens

Lakeshore visits Essex in Jr. C hockey action tonight.

Sitting fifth in the GLJCHL standings, Canadiens GM Mark Seguin says he likes how his team's been competing since a coaching change a few weeks ago, but would like to see more consistency.

"We're always measuring ourselves against Essex, you know. They've been the champs for about four or five years now. So tonight's going to give us a good idea of where we're at and what we need to do moving forward, getting ready for the playoffs."

Only six points separate Lakeshore and second placed Amherstburg. The 73's, on the other hand, are 17-points ahead of the Canadiens.

In three meetings this season, Essex has got the best of Lakeshore each time.
