Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – February 5, 2016

The Dresden Kings edged the Blenheim Blades 4-3 in Game 2 of their Junior C playoff series on Friday.

Derek Shaw, Dillon Liberty, Will Tetzlaff and Isaac McLean each scored once for the Kings. Drew Marlatt led the Blades with two goals, while Nick Delyzer had one.

The win for the Kings ties the series at 1-1.

As well, the Essex 73's shut out the Alvinston Flyers 6-0 in Game 1 of the Great Lakes Quarter Finals.

Tyler Boughner and Max Viselli led Essex with two goals each, while Brett Vorshuk and Dalton Langlois scored one each.

Essex leads the series 1-0.

And in Junior A hockey, the Kingsville Kings scored a 6-2 win against Komoka Dragons.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
