Junior Hockey Wrap Up – February 18, 2016

The LaSalle Vipers downed the Sarnia Legionnaires 3-2 in GOJHL action on Thursday.

The Legionnaires scored a 1-0 lead in the first period, but fell behind in the second after the Vipers scored two of their own. Both teams scored once in the third to give LaSalle the win with a one goal advantage.

Tyler Russell, Brett Primeau, and Eric Kirby each scored once for LaSalle.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
