Junior Hockey Wrap Up – February 20, 2016

The Mooretown Flags hammered Lakeshore 8-3 to eliminate the Canadiens from the Junior C playoffs on Saturday.

Brenden Crundwell led the Canadiens with two goals while Parker Boyle had one.

The Flags won the best-of-seven series 4-3.

In Junior B hockey, the Leamington Flyers beat the Lambton Shores Predators 3-1.

Derek Elliott, Scott Emerson and Cale Phibbs each scored once for the Flyers.

Also, Daniel Beaudoin led the LaSalle Vipers to a 5-3 victory over the London Nationals.

Beaudoin score a hat-trick in the win, while Manny Silverio and Brett Primeau each scored one.

And in Junior A hockey, the Kingsville Kings took a 2-0 lead in their playoff series after a 11-1 win over the North York Renegades.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
