Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – February 27, 2016

The Blenheim Blades took a 2-1 series lead after a 5-1 victory over the Amherstburg Integrity Admirals in Junior C hockey on Saturday.

Owen Bateman, Matt Clark, Nick Delyzer, Drew Marlatt and Kier Cumming all scored once for the Blades.  Ryan Holzel scored Amherstburg's only goal.

The Blades and Admirals return to the ice for Game 4 on Sunday at 7pm.

As well, the Essex 73's crushed the Mooretown Flags 8-1 to take a 3-0 series lead.

Tyler Scott led the 73's with a hat-trick.

Essex will attempt to sweep the best of seven series in Game 4 on Monday at 8pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
