Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – February 28, 2016

The LaSalle Vipers ended their regular season with six straight wins, following a 6-2 victory over the London Nationals on Sunday.

Brett Primeau and Cale Allen led the Vipers with two goals each.

LaSalle also narrowly out shot London 42-41.

In Junior C hockey action, the Amherstburg Integrity Admirals tied their playoff series 2-2 after beating the Blenheim Blades 4-3 in overtime.

Ryan Wismer, Dylan Muzzatti, Travis Campbell scored one each for Amherstburg during regular play, and Kasey Basile scored the game winner in OT.

Dustin Maines, Drew Marlatt and Brayden Hopkins all scored once for the Blades.

The two teams return to the ice on Tuesday at 7:30pm for Game 5.

As well, in Junior A hockey, the Kingsville Kings scored a 10-2 victory over the Niagara Whalers to take a 2-0 playoff series lead.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
