Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – March 2, 2016

In Junior B hockey on Wednesday, the LaSalle Vipers hammered the Sarnia Legionnaires 6-1 in Game 1 of their playoff series.

Both teams scored once in the first period to tie to game, but LaSalle was able to score four unanswered goals in the second and another in the third to earn the win.

Liam MacDougall led LaSalle with two goals, while Nathan Savage, Daniel Beaudoin, Brett Primeau and Connor Rosaasen each scored once.

The Vipers and the Legionnaires will face off for Game 2 of their best-of-seven series on Saturday at 7:10pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
