Admirals Eliminate Blades

The Amherstburg Integrity Admirals have eliminated the Blenheim Blades from the Junior C playoffs, following a 4-1 victory in Game 6 on Thursday.

Both team scored in the first period to tie the game, but Amherstburg scored an unanswered goal in the second to take the lead. The Admirals scored another two goals in the third to cap off the win.

The Admirals advance after beating Blenheim 4-2 in the best-of-seven series.

Blades Captain Kirk McKillop says the effort was there, but they couldn't force Game 7.

"It would have been a lot better if we had won, but we try not to hang our heads," he says. "I think we're all pretty proud of what we accomplished this season. Obviously it wasn't our ultimate goals, but you can't be disappointed."

The Admirals will advance to take on the Essex 73's in the Great Lakes Junior C Championship.
