Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – March 5, 2016

The LaSalle Vipers fell 4-3 to the Sarnia Legionnaires in Junior B playoff action on Saturday.

Brett Primeau led LaSalle with two goals, while Tyler Russell had one.

The playoff series is now tied 1-1 and the two teams will face off for Game 3 on Sunday at 6pm.

Also, the Leamington Flyers hammered the St. Marys Lincolns 8-2 to take a 2-0 series lead.

Mark Manchurek and Luke Sanko were the top scorers for Leamington with two goals each.

The Flyers take on the Lincolns again for Game 3 on Sunday at 7:10pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
