Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – March 6, 2016

In Junior B hockey, the LaSalle Vipers took a 2-1 playoff series lead after defeating the Sarnia Legionnaires 6-2 on Sunday.

Brett Primeau led the Vipers with two goals, while Manny Silverio, Blake Jones, Liam MacDougall and Eric Kirby all had one.

The two teams face off again for Game 4 on Tuesday at 7:10pm.

Also, the Leamington Flyers crushed the St. Marys Lincolns 10-2 to take a 3-0 series lead.

Colin Moore, Aaron Langlois and Joe Urbanic were the top scorers for the Flyers with two goals each.

The Flyers and the Lincolns return to the ice for Game 4 on Wednesday at 7:30pm.

And in Junior A hockey, the Kingsville Kings scored a 12-4 win over the Halton Ravens for a 2-0 playoff series lead.

Ludwig Niederbach, David Vostarek and Zack Zulkanycz all scored twice in the win.

Game 3 for the Kings and Ravens is on Tuesday at 8:30pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
