Spits Needing Big Road Performance

The Spitfires can bring their first round playoff series back to Windsor with a Game 5 win in Kitchener tonight.

The franchise came away with its first playoff win since 2011 on Wednesday night at the WFCU Centre, 5-4 in overtime.

Still, the Spits trail the Rangers 3-1 in the best-of-seven.

Windsor forward Brendan Lemieux has three goals and an assist in just a game and one period of play.  He served a match-penalty for slew-footing in Game 1 and then served a two-game suspension before returning for Game 4.  The Spits have outscored Kitchener 8-4 when he's in the line-up.

It's the Rangers who will be shorthanded tonight, as the OHL is suspending right winger Jake Henderson for two games after a hit to the head during Wednesday night's game.

Including the regular season, the Spitfires are 1-3 in Kitchener this year, having been outscored 16-12.
