Red Devils & Thrashers Lose

A tough day for lacrosse teams in Wallaceburg as both the Red Devils and Thrashers lost yesterday.

The Red Devils fell 14-6 to the Windsor Clippers in their home opener. Windsor scored seven unanswered goals to close out the game. Parker Gilhuly had two goals and two assists for the Red Devils.

In the evening, the Thrashers fell 7-5 to the Owen Sound North Stars. William Trudeau had a goal and two assists for the Thrashers.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
