Cougars Lose, Chatham Diamonds Win

Heartbreak in the finals for the Chatham-Kent Cougars Bantam Boys football team in the OFC South Division Final on Sunday.

After qualifying for the final with a convincing win over Burlington, the Cougars lost 21-20 to the top-ranked Hamilton Varsity Tiger Cats.

The Chatham Diamonds Minor Mosquito team is coming home with some new hardware.

They won five straight games to take first place in the annual Green / Gold Classic tournament in LaSalle over the weekend.

The Diamonds beat the team from LaSalle 12-3 in the final.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
