Byrne Continues Hot Streak

Graham Byrne of Essex continued his hot streak on the Jamieson Jr. Golf Tour, winning in a playoff at Erie Shores Golf Club in Leamington.

Byrne and Matthew Charron of Roseland tied at 2-under, and Byrne won on the second playoff hole. He's won three of the last four Jr. boys events, and claimed the two day Widdifield Cup.

Hannah Meloche of Sutton Creek won the Jr. girls division and the Widdifield Cup.

In Collegiate men, Zak Hart won his first event of the season , while Alyssa Getty won the Collegiate women's title.

The final stop on the tour is Monday, August 22nd at Beach Grove in Tecumseh.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
