Blades & Admirals Win

The Blenheim Blades and Amherstburg Admirals both opened the Jr. C hockey seasons with wins.

The Blades came out firing, scoring four goals before Petrolia could respond as Blenheim beat the Flyers 6-2.

Blenheim is back in action tonight when they head to Wheatley to take on the Sharks.

Meanwhile, the Admirals needed overtime to edge the Mooretown Flags 2-1.

Michael Hatch scored the game winner just 13 seconds into the extra frame.

Amherstburg is off until Saturday when they host Blenheim.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
