Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – September 21, 2016

The Dresden Kings doubled the Lakers 8-4 Wednesday night during Wallaceburg's home opener.

Both teams scored twice to tie the game 2-2 at the end of the first period, but Dresden took a big lead with six goals in the second. The Lakers scored another two in the third, but couldn't catch up to the Kings in the final minutes.

Josh Farrugia led Wallaceburg with two goals and Dillon Liberty led Dresden with two of his own.

The Kings will face the Lakeshore Canadiens on Friday at 7:30pm. And then on September 28, the Lakes will take on the Blenheim Blades at 7:30pm.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
