Jonathan Toews had two goals and an assist as Team Canada easily beat Europe 4-1 in its final prelim game at the World Cup of Hockey. Canada will face either North America or Russia in the first semifinal on Saturday night.

Robinson Cano hit a sacrifice fly in the 12th inning as the Seattle Mariners beat Toronto 2-1. The Blue Jays are one game ahead of the Orioles for the A-L's first wild card spot.

Elsewhere -- the Tigers game in Minnesota was postponed due to rain. They'll play a double header today to make the game up.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
